GSP board guild formed
Forty three Senior Girl Scouts and twelve troop leaders from the public and private high schools all over the province were convened at the GSP Program and Training Center on July 11, 2009.
The orientation of the Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme (CGSMS) was conducted at the said assembly. The CGSMS is the highest and most coveted award in the Girl Scouting movement in the Philippines, to be awarded by the President of the Republic upon completion of the project. On hand to orient the aspiring medalists are the Diplomad Trainer, Emma C. Castillo, and the Officer In-Charge of the Council Angeledina H. Anunciado.
Later on that day, the election of officers of the Senior Planning Board (SPB) and Junior Journalist Guild (JJG) was conducted. The following are the newly elected officers: Senior Planning Board: Karmella Grace Lantaka – Mansasa High School, President; Lara Ann Lumayag – Holy Name University, Vice President; Karla Roselle Llorente – Tagbilaran City Science High School, Secretary; Kim Eloise Cuadra – Tagbilaran City Science High School, Asst. Secretary; Anna Veronica Galendez – Holy Name University, Treasurer; Mendy Dinter – Holy Name University, Asst. Treasurer; Jennifer Flores – Mansasa High School, Auditor; Nimmia Christine Lantaka – Mansasa High School, PRO; Representatives – Niña Jane Abucay – Bohol Wisdom School; Cindi Emmille Alaba, Grixy Fudalan and Jovian Joy Bag-ao – Holy Infant School; Ma. The oath-taking ceremony and induction to office of the new batch of officers took place on July 22, 2009 at the GSP Program and Training Center. The inducting officer was the Council President, Atty. Roselima C. Abapo.
